A Study in Silks - Emma Jane Holloway

"I don't want to run or hide or be used by someone else. I just want to be who I am."

He stepped back, letting go of a sigh. "The be prepared to fight for it, because only the strongest get to stand on their own."

This book has moments of greatness, surrounded by long paragraphs of exposition and nothing really happening. I can tell it's all leading up to something, but parts of it are so damn boring!

Every time I think it's picking up (and it does have those great moments where I'm super involved), it goes back to something that makes me feel like I'm reading something else - something that says: blah, blah, blah-de-blah.
